The challenge was created to raise money for the Thommy Purbrook General Scholarship at Oundle School, as a living memorial to Thommy Purbrook who died of meningitis in December 2008. The challenge was created by Thommy’s brother Barnabas and his friends Asher Simons, James Bird and Rory Houston.
The idea was that to run from Marble Arch in London to dover, then kayak the channel to Calais, then cycle to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. A truly awesome feat.
The logo was designed to show the 3 different activities that made up the challenge. The colours represent the colours of the French flag, the finishing point of the challenge.

As it is such a good cause (and because my cousin was one of the people doing the challenge) all the work was done free of charge.
